He uses Horn Drill a third time which hits Qwilfish. It did use Waterfall between the first and second Horn Drill, so I decide to use Amoongus.

I manage to use Toxic, but it uses Horn Drill AGAIN and K.O’s my Amoongus

I send out D. Wailord against it so that it won’t use Horn Drill but the little question mark uses Waterfall TWICE and flinches it both times before I get to use Freeze-Dry

It decides to use Horn Drill again, misses and gets K.O’d by Freeze Dry.

East sends out his second Pokémon, which doesn’t get effected by any of the spikes, so I think it is either a levitating Pokémon or a flying type. I use Scary Face to make sure that it doesn’t get too dangerous

It seems to be a fire type, perhaps a Talonflame. Whatever, it used Flamethrower and I used Dragon Claw. Now knowing which type it is, I use Aqua Tail

He seems to want this Pokémon on his team, and uses a full restore and switches out to a non-aerial Pokémon that gets hit by both types of spikes

It seemed to be an Ice type due its Blizzard attack and instantly dying to a critical Aura Sphere

The next Pokémon gets obliterated by Aqua Tail without even being able to have a say in it. I am so glad I got Palkia

East sends out his possible Talonflame. I know because it is at red. I forgot to mention that he used Full Restore and then I hit him with Aqua Tail, leaving him at red

It finally goes down after taking out Palkia. Its Life Orb wasn’t very useful here

The next Pokémon East sends out is a Psychic type. I send out my Kricketune and use X-Scissors. It survives, but the poison it got from Toxic Spikes got it further down in red. It goes down with Kricketune

I sigh in disappointment as my D. Wailord dies to the next Pokémon. Next time, I will bring healing items

I attempt to set up regular Spikes, but he uses his one-hit KO move and kills me before I get the chance. Time to send out Wailord…
