Go for a nature that boost its speed like Timid or Jolly. Id chose Timid.

Good choice, you should bring a timid pokemon with synchronize and don`t forget that you can sofreset to get a shiny Mew.
How many time you spent trying to get it shiny.
well it really depends on what you want, imo mew’s 100 base attacking stats are decent, while its bulk is a lot more noticeable. So I’d run a bulky support set with stealth rock, an attacking move of your choice, thunder wave/toxic/ willowisp, and volt switch/ uturn.
So in conclusion Id run Impish, Calm, careful, or bold
timid mew is also fine if you can pull of nasty plot but yea
I spent 5 hours, but it`s not the same for everyone it can take less or more time for you.
Only do it if you really, really, really want it and have the patience.

Wait i have a question i should soft-reset in the battle with mew or before the battle
You start the battle with mew, if its not a shiny sofreset (press F 12) and do it again until its a shiny.

Good luck, i heard stories of people getting shinies in their 1st try and others that spent weeks with over 10.000 sofresets, so be sure if you want to try it.
I mean…I would hunt AFTER you get the shiny charm and I hate Mew’s shiny…but you should go for it if you want it very bad. The only legends I would spend more than an hour for is Yveltal, Zygarde, and Volcanion.
Shiny charm works for all the saves or only for the one you completed the Pokedex
It works only for the save file where you completed the pokedex.
just a heads up, it will most likely take more than 5 hours without a charm. I hunted 3 legends without charm and it was an actual pain
how would you be able to get the charm if you need mew in your pokedex to get the charm?

Also, if u kill mew in the crystal caves it will respawn after beating the E4 rematches lol, so u can totally shiny hunt it while having the shiny charm

Why do you care about the nature that much if the game isn’t playable in pvp
