I was searching holon for secrets now that I had gotten pretty much every tool I could get so I decided to go for one last search across the region but when I got to gaea core the monoliths caught my eye and the text box specifically said something about them being a puzzle a long time ago. Is this a reference to another game or a clue for something I haven’t done?

Probably a reference to the ludicrously unintuitive puzzles that surrounded the regis in the core games (like the braille puzzles with various tms and specific party members involved). At least, that’s what I would assume. I honestly haven’t been to that area very recently, so I can’t exactly say what monoliths you mean or what they specifically say.
