So I’m right before the seventh gym and thought that a good electric type would be needed. So I looked at the wiki and noticed Thunderous is in the safari zone. I got to it, but failed to catch it, so I restarted from my last save. Before I attempt to face it again, what are some tips for catching it?
After buying 19 ultra balls and battling him again, I used all my ultra balls but caught him with a pokeball.

That’s so relatable, because on my alpha sapphire copy I caught Virizon in a POKEBALL even after all the ultra balls I tossed at it. WHAT A WASTE!
