Unable to catch Delta Liepard?

Hi all,

I recently arrived in Selene City and interacted with the “ghost” twice, not knowing what it was, and then looked it up after the Persephone battle on the wiki. I’ve talked to all the necessary people, but the ghost doesn’t spawn anymore. Did I mess up my chances by interacting with the ghost when I first arrived?

If im not mistaken you can only catch it at night.
