Solo Run not really working

I’ve recently started a solo run, the description says whatever you catch will go straight to the PC and will be unaccassible, but I just caught a Durant from the Hidden Grotto and it got added to my party. The game will prompt to switch in when my Larvitar faints and can also be switched in at any point during battle. The PC remains locked, so I can’t dispose of it, already tried fainting a few times, but it stays and if I trade with some NPC the traded Pokemon will stay in my party too. Can anyone help me get rid of that thing?

Once you reach the day care, throw it there.

That happened to me with the exact same Durant. And the snorlax. Both times I soft reset.

Yeah I did a solo run, and got a hercross (dumb idea i know) and a delta squirtle.
