Ok so I’m shiny hunting a delta pawniard, and I have a question about it, does the pawniard appear shiny before you battle it, or does it still look green before you battle it.

Iirc, it doesn’t appear as shiny until you start the fight. That goes for every static 'mon.

can confirm, all of the stats + shininess of the mon are only set when u encounter, so will always appear green in the overworld. After you catch it, however, it will appear shiny when it follows you, like this:
(sry dont have a shiny pawni to show ya but hope this is fine lmao)
