Can you soft reset an egg? I want to know if you get an egg then save right before it hatches, and if it’s not shiny, can you get a shiny from this? Or will it always be the same mon. If so, this could save me hours of hunting.

You can, but you have to save before getting the egg.

If you do that you will always get the same pokemon.
You have to save before getting an egg, hatch it and if it`s not shiny sofreset to get a diferent one.
