Purity mode and Difficulty changes

I unfortunately have to start over my journey, but seeing as I have already done it a couple of times I’d like to get go through it a little bit faster. I’d also like to obtain charizardite so I’d have to play on purity mode.

Questions:

  • Can I put my difficulty on easy, but change it to hard later on in the game?
  • Can I put my game on purity mode for the charizardite, but turn it off again once I have it?

  2. Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure the ONLY thing purity changes is your starter and it’s mega stone; so yeah?

Purity also deletes all deltas and other forms which are not official pokemon.

I’m not sure because I haven’t played purity myself, but I’m pretty sure you can do that. Aidunno.

It only removes the ones you’re forced to battle, like Mega Stunfisk.

The others will still be there if you look for them. Also, you can turn on/off purity mode whenever in a Pokémon center, iirc.

Doesn’t need to be pokemon center i’m pretty sure (that’s light/dark mode) And yeah you can still play through w/ delta charizard and turn on purity mode before entering sewers (just to be sure, you could prob do it right before picking items up)
