Can someone please tell me the easiest way to gain friendship for my Pokémon (I’m doing a professor oak challenge and I’m pre gym one)

i don’t have access to helios department store due to being before the first gym, but thank you for the suggestion

Best way to do it early game is probably either by walking around (+2 friendship per 128 steps) or leveling up your Pokémon in battles (+5/4/3 per level depending on existing friendship). Source: bulbapedia’s article on friendship
