When people do the nuzlocke challenge here, do they do the actual nucklocke challenge? Or do they just stick with what insurgence has set up which is the fainting. The actual nuzlocke states you can only catch the first pokemon in each area that you come across. This is my first play through of the game and I chose nuzlocke, but wasn’t sure if I wanted to do the full nuzlocke or just the fainting rule.
I’d say most people would play with the ‘only first encounter per route’ rule, however that is too difficult to program so the challenge option doesn’t have it implemented. But feel free to just do the no fainting! All the rules are up to you! 
They didn’t implement the “catch only the 1st Pokemon in each area” rule because most people play with exceptions (like dupes and species clause and shiny clause).
