I feel stubid asking, but how do I install the patch? I did donloaded the patch’s core and merging folder, but I don’t really know what to do whit them. I prefer not to mess whit game files blind, so I want to know what to do to update my game.
If you downloaded the 1.2.6 core, just extract that and press game.exe and you should be good to go :))
Wait, so i have to download 1.2.6 to get the latest game or can i paste the 1.2.6 meging patch folder to 1.2.5 game folder?(i dont want to download 690+ MB i vain)
You can either choose to download the 1.2.6 core, or download the 1.2.6 patch if you already have an existing core. However, you must be on 1.2.5 in order to use the 1.2.6 patch. If you are on 1.2.3 or earlier, download a fresh core.
Patching Steps:
First, download the 1.2.6 patch at http://p-insurgence.com/releases/1.2.6/Pokemon%20Insurgence%201.2.6%20Patch.zip, right click the downloaded .ZIP file and select Extract. Locate your Pokemon Insurgence 1.2.5 Core, and open the 1.2.5 Core and the 1.2.6 Patch side-by-side.
For Windows: copy the files from the patch ( Game.rgssad and the Graphics updates) and paste into the 1.2.5 Core. Choose Replace when prompted. Ensure that you are replacing the old 1.2.5 files with the new 1.2.6 files.
For Mac: replace the old 1.2.5 Game.rgssad with the new 1.2.6 Game.rgssad . Within the Graphical updates, there are files within the Battlers, Characters, Icons, and Pictures subfolders that have been updated. Hold Option and drag your Graphics folder into the Core folder, it should give you the option to Merge files. Ensure that you are selecting to Merge, and not Replace. https://i.imgur.com/crQn1qu.png
