I just claimed my Mystery Gift Zorua and in his first battle he gained boosted experience points. From what I could tell he doesn’t have pokerus (I’m new so maybe I just don’t know what it looks like in this game) so I was wondering if others have had the same happen with their own Zoruas.
its because its a traded pokemon the owner is not you it’s lucy meaning it was a trade and if you’ve played main series games traded pokemon get boosted exp! 
Ah, that makes sense! I played a bunch of Pokemon when I was younger but only had a single system at a time and no friends that played so I’ve only encountered traded Pokemon rarely. Thanks for the tip!
