My Focus Band won't activate?

Maybe I’m just getting unlucky but I gave a Focus Band to my Eevee and it keeps getting one shot by Xaviers Mega Beedrill (the only hazard is a Sticky Web on my side of the field).

Focus Band has a 10% chance to activate so I guess you are very unlucky, also welcome to the community @bgamesnyc

@bgamesnyc Use a focus sash to prevent a one shot. It works 100% of the time.

Keep in mind that the Focus Sash disapear after usage.
