My fishing isn't working

My fishing isn’t working ,I got the old rod and fished and thought because i’s an old rod it supposed to sometimes not give you a bite

then i got the good rod and I’ve been trying for 2 days to get anything but nothing has come up yet

I’m in windows 7 if that’s going to change anything

what do I do

Fishing stops working after encountering Delta Remoraid due to a bug.

I haven’t completed the 4th gym and i don’t know what delta remoraid is

so i think I’m a special case
