I’m not sure if this is a built-in feature, but the Midna Garden Hidden Grotto has been giving me no items or encounters for the past 4 days. Which is an issue for me because I am looking to complete the Pokedex, and according to the wiki, Exeggcute can only be found in this single hidden grotto. So, I was wondering if there is a way to get it to start spawning items or Pokemon again, or if there was anyone that would be willing to give me a Friend Safari that will spawn Exeggcute.

If you change the time of your pc, there is a known issue where some time related events (ie HG, PokéPon and few others) don’t work anymore.

Thank you for the wiki page! Yeah, I did mess around with the date and time trying to get all of the game corner Pokemon prizes in a single day.
