Every once in a while, a key will get “stuck” so that it continues inputting itself ridiculously fast until I press it again, which stops the issue. However, I just got my 8th badge and am heading to the Crystal Caves when I noticed that whenever I open the general menu or interact with the “Fight/Bag/Pokemon/Run” menu, the game gets stuck on up. I can move just fine, and the actual key is functioning normally everywhere else, but in those specific menus, I can hardly access my pokemon or run from a wild encounter. I’ve tried saving and restarting the game, but it’s still an issue. Any advice?
Okay, so the problem is fixed. I tried to see if there were other menus that were affected by talking to the PikaTaxi, and got stuck so my only option was to soar, Once soaring, I realized my Q button was stuck because the view kept spinning. I pressed it and the spinning stopped, and once I landed I could access menus normally. Still, this button sticking has happened before only in the game (it never happens anywhere else on my computer). Is it happening to anyone else?
It’s a key board buffer memory issue(mostly with the old engine the game was made with), mashing the key that’s stuck is one of the solutions for it. Others are
-
Disconnecting and reconnecting the keyboard
-
Step 1 and then restarting your system.
-
Updating your keyboard drivers and restarting your system.
This issue doesn’t have a concrete solution beyond those ):
