After 5 solid months of being stuck there, I did it. I beat the first gym on radred. 5 months ago, I was stuck and didn’t know what to do for the life of me. But, all changed yesterday, when I used an actual strat instead of just starting the fight with Brock and SRing when losing. I caught two shinx with intimidate, and used them to counter brock’s onix, so it couldn’t 2hko my bulbasaur. Then the rng gods blessed me and his vulpix didn’t use ember on me, rather just used will O wisp and smth else.
