Is this team good enough?

Is this team good enough to beat the game? Do you have any suggestions for me? I never gave much thought to making teams. I don’t even know if its good. But just seeing Suzerain’s tweets, I think it will be hard to beat the game without preparation. So, please help me.

Mega Hydreigon — 252 SpA, 252 Spe, 6 Atk -Dragon Pulse -Dark Pulse -Surf -Fly

Heracross(Guts)@Flame Orb — 252 Atk, 252 Spe, 6 Def -Close Combat -Megahorn -Facade -Earthquake

Gardevoir(Trace) — 252 SpA, 252 Spe, 6 SpD -Moonblast -Psychic -Taunt -Energy Ball

Aggron(Rock Head) — 252 Atk, 252 Def, 6 HP -Head Smash -Iron Head -Double Edge -Stealth Rock

Rotom Frost — 252 SpA, 252 Spe, 6 HP -Blizzard -Thunderbolt -Livewire -Toxic

Delta Sunflora(Analytic) — 252 SpA, 130 Def, 124 SpD -Flamethrower -Sludge Bomb -Will-O-Wisp -Toxic

  • We don’t know when we get the Hydreigon Mega Stone in the 1.2 update, so you might not get it before you beat the Elite 4.
  • Why would you ever use Fly on Mega Hydreigon? Just give it something like Flamethrower.
  • Toxic Orb > Flame Orb on Guts Heracross, as Burn status halves your Attack Stat.
  • I wouldn’t run Taunt on Gardevoir, but that might be your preference. How about Trick + Choice Scarf?
  • Give Aggron the Rocky Helmet as an Hold Item.
  • As for Typing, Rotom Wash would be a better choice instead of Rotom Frost (it also gives you another wall).
  • I would personally replace Livewire and Toxic on Rotom for Will-O-Wisp and Volt Switch.
  • Consider adding the Natures on the list (my picks:) Hydreigon: Timid Heracross: Adamant/Jolly Gardevoir: Timid Aggron: Impish Rotom-Wash: Bold D.Sunflora: Modest

Guts negates the Attack decrease, for the record.

Your choice could be right. It is just better is an sense of less damage in the 1st 3 turns, then it gets worse. So it used for more survivability chance at the start.

Aye, then you’d also have to factor in the fact that Insurgence doesn’t use updated poison mechanics outside of battle, meaning you’d have to heal significantly more frequently every time that the Pokemon in question is used.

Right, gotta put those potions to use more often haha.

Thanks for that! Ok, Rotom wash should be defensively ev trained? and also the Sunflora’s all good? I was thinking of having the sunflora with a speed reducing nature because of its ability. or is Modest better?

Ooh yeah, feeling dumb. I mostly see Toxic Orb competitively, so I thought that would have been the case. But as it is the damage in the first turns, then I thank you for the info.

@SkyMara Can you reply to my previous query?

Yes, Rotom Wash needs to be Defensively EV trained.

Next up… D.Sunflora… tbh, I have never used it really as Sunflora on its own just lacks stats. You might be better off finding another Pokemon to replace it.

@SkyMara What do you suggest? I need a good poison type. I was thinking about Delta Luxray because of its ability Venomous. But I don’t think there’s anyway to obtain it with it’s hidden ability.

How about adding Venusaur, like another wall with leech seed, synthesis and such?

Also, rotom should be ev trained in defense and what?

Rotom Wash: HP + Def

Venusaur sounds good to be in your team. You need to breed at this point to get Sludge Bomb on it, or even beter also add Hidden Power Fire, but that might be kinda hard to accomplish.

Well, I got free time till the next version releases. I will try to get one with hp fire. Thanks a lot for your help!
