Is circle throw supposed to force end battles?

okay, so i got a buncha random eggs from the egglocke. one of them includes MommaBear, who is also apparently fear incarnate - i fake out an opponent, and then send her in to circle throw.

sounds normal, right?

except… that it just ends the battle instantly. mind you, this is a wild battle (it doesnt work on trainers) but i’m wondering if this is supposed to be happening or not? i’ve never ever had circle throw full on scare an opponent off who has no normal flee chance (and without even a message!).

edit: okay apparently it just sends out the next pokemon on the trainer… so maybe this is an intentional effect? rip me, i’m a moron.

Yeah in wild battles circle throw is like roar, just ends the battle instead of in a trainer battle where it switches into another poke. (that only happens if the level is ≥ the wild poke’s level according to sleepy)

Yes.In the wild,the battle ends.In the trainer battle,the pokemon swithes out with another on.

In continuation, if level is equal or greater than the wild mon’s (if anyone stumbles upon this post and was wondering).
