Insurgence on Linux?

What’s up everyone?

Don’t know if this was asked any time prior to now, but is it possible to play Insurgence on Ubuntu 16?

Sorry if I’m wasting your time with this.

After downloading it on windows I tried it on Ubuntu 16 but could not get to work unfortunately. Too many missing sprites for some reason idk why though (wasnt internet issue cause I tried 4 times), maybe you will have better luck than me.

Also here is a guide for it but is outdated, good luck though  https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonInsurgence/comments/3gcws4/linux_guide_112/

Sorry for still replying this late, but what about the save files? Do I leave 'em in my windows drive or do I have to transfer them to my linux machine?

Save files are stored differently on windows and wine, you’ll have to transfer them separately in addition to the core.

Windows:

  • C:\Users(your name)\Saved Games\Pokemon Insurgence

For wine, it’d would probably be one of the following, not sure which

  • Right click the app, Show Package Contents, drive_c, Program Files, Pokemon Insurgence

  • Right click the app, Show Package Contents, drive_c/Users/Wineskin/Saved Games/Pokemon Insurgence

If you’re doubtful, start a new game on your linux, save, search for that new save and replace it with your current saves.

Linux Wine is different from Wineskin Sleepy :stuck_out_tongue:

For me at least it can be found in:

/home/{your user name}/.wine/drive_c/users/{your user name}/Saved Games/
