heya folks. im about five badges in, just finished the encounter where you had to push around the boulders and fight the traitorous librarian (zenith or whatev). i’m currently on normal mode.
However, i’m looking for someone to rate my team and suggest a sixth pokemon.
As this is an Egglocke, I cannot trade to or from others. For the eggs, I might not necessarily have every Pokémon available either. Suggesting Pokémon is fine and I’ll try to get them but no guarantees.
Ghestlin (Delta Pidgeot)
Holding: Leftovers Careful Nature Intimidate
- Crunch
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Fly
This guy was my starter, so I don’t intend on dumping him ever. Pretty reliable guy. If I switch him away from fighting and ice types he’s fine. Heck, even with fighting and ice types he can usually take a few hits.
Mioluvun (Delta Scoliopede)
Holding: King’s Rock Brave Nature Magma Armor
- Rock Blast
- Megahorn
- Flame Wheel
- Rock Climb
She’s alright; Rock Climb’s only there in anticipation for the field move. It’s a decent fourth move as far as they go. Flame Wheel’s reliable, Megahorn’s alright for a OHKO on psychic types, and rock blast is actually pretty great. King’s Rock was a recent addition so I don’t know how that’ll go, but hopefully the extra flinch chance will help her with anything she doesnt oneshot.
Aridhel (Crobat)
Holding: Black Sludge Quirky Nature Inner Focus
- Feint Attack
- Air Slash
- Cross Poison
- Wing Attack
Aridhel’s been around a while, but as much as I’m emotionally attached to her, I think she’s slowly losing use. She’s bulkier than she looks and her Black Sludge works. Has better physical attacking stats, so Air Slash is sorta wasted there, but it works for now. Moveset’s lacking in versatility/type coverage though, unfortunately. Cross Poison is probably the only move I don’t see myself changing.
Tarasylah (Electrode)
Holding: Leftovers Lax Nature Soundproof
- Charge Beam
- Magnet Rise
- Rollout
- Thunderbolt
I was lacking electric types/coverage during my levelling, so Tara’s a pretty new addition. So far she’s been great. Magnet rise is only a recent addition (it used to be swift) that I hope to abuse later. She’s fast and the move should help against EQ users (especially those I don’t expect).
Extra coverage would be nice and I’d like to replace rollout with another special move; as is, I’m not a big fan of moves that lock you in that don’t have a perfect accuracy/reliability. (This is also why I avoid choice iteming everything.)
No Nickname Yet (Delta Haxorus)
Holding: Nothing Yet; probably leftovers. Naive Nature Strong Jaws
- Poison Fang
- Ice Fang
- Crunch
- Aqua Tail
Newest addition and proposed replacement for the Sharpedo I have boxed.
I’ve heard and seen good things about this Pokémon and the base stats look amazing. Strong Jaws, max attack IV, and mostly biting moves? Probably a lot better. Aqua Tail’s the only one I’m not sure about. I may replace it with my custom move (Water Type I’ve called Riptide) which isn’t as strong but has better accuracy.
…. Aaand one empty slot! I have no idea what to put in the last spot.
Other Pokémon I also own these Pokémon who are boxed for whatever reason.
Fravuna (Delta Golem)
Holding: Leftovers (I have like a gazillion of these things. Why.) Lonely Nature Sap Sipper
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide
- Zen Headbutt
- Hammer Arm
She’s been great whilst levelling up, but she’s become too frail to her weaknesses… which have slowly increased in number over time. She’s also pretty slow which only gets worse with Hammer Arm. Love her a bunch, but it’s time for the box unless I can redeem her.
All in all, Fravuna’s a situational tank and/or glass cannon. No inbetween.
Faron (Meganium)
Holding: used to be meganium mega stone but idk what he has now Neutral Nature Overgrow
- Reflect
- Magical Leaf
- Petal Dance
- Riptide (filler move)
Faron’s a cool dude but pretty much useless in battle. Plus, I’ve had better Meganiums in the past but these days I can’t really use them so well. Mega form doesnt do much either.
Islanil (Leafeon)
Holding: Nothing atm, probably leftovers? Naive Nature Leaf Guard
- Bite
- Leaf Blade
- Aerial Ace
- Synchronise (Aiming for x-scissor when I can get it.)
Islanil’s a physical attacker based on his stats. He’s also the most likely addition to the team as is right now, purely based on type coverage. He’s a recent evolve, too.
Nerien (Delta Buneary)
Holding: Expert Belt Docile Nature Pickpocket
- Meditate
- Mach Punch
- Heart Stamp
- Foresight (will probably replace with return once she’s evolved and at max happiness again)
Only level 37 right now, and I won’t be busting Nerien out at all until I can evolve her. She’s at maximum happiness, but I need her at minimum to evolve her. She was the best attacker when she was in the team, at least at the start (she was the second egg) but she couldn’t keep up without evolving.
Sheraliase (Sharpedo)
Holding: Nothing. Relaxed Nature Rough Skin
- Riptide (custom move, water)
- Crunch
- Ice Fang
- Poison Fang
Good physical attacker. Used to have Life Orb. Good attack, ok speed, awful defence and special defence. Ultimately boxed because she dies to anything and everything.
No Nickname Yet (Lanturn)
Holding: Leftovers (again) Relaxed Nature Illuminite
- Signal Beam
- Bubble Beam (gonna replace it w/ surf once I get it)
- Aqua Ring (basically a filler move)
- Discharge (but I can replace with thunderbolt)
Another candidate to replace Sheraliase. Only reason I haven’t taken her is because I already own an Electrode. If she’d come before I hatched Tara I would have went with this.
This lady relies more on special attack instead of physical attack, at least. She’ll remain boxed unless I need her.
