Incoming Kei~

Good day, this is 7636kei, but feel free to just call me Kei around here. (I’m a guy, btw. Suffice to say that the username’s a portmanteau of concepts off several stuff unrelated to Pokemon.)

I’ve been playing Insurgence for about three weeks or so now, lately having the newly-caught Vibrava catch up with the rest of the team (not that much catching up, though, since the rest of 'em are in the late thirties to fourty) before entering the cavern.

And for the Insurgence Team, thank you for rekindling my interest into Pokemon. Really, sometime between XY and ORAS release I thought I’m not going to be into Pokemon again, and now look where I ended up. Perhaps it’s bolstered by me getting a shiny Bunnelsby very early in the game (I think it was before Trainer School arc?), which ends up merely a bragging right. (Said Bunnelsby has Modest and, even worse, Cheek Pouch; its rise to BL in Smogon ORAS is hugely powered by Huge Power, pun very much intended XD)

Welcome to the Insurgence community! This is a great game and has many features not found in the main series games, like being able to change from a Pokemon’s regular Ability to its Hidden Ability, using a particular item to raise IVs (similar to Bottle Caps in Sun and Moon, except they don’t retain the original value for Hidden power purposes), and I’m sure if you’ve played the game at all (unless you’re on Purity Mode), you’d know of the existence of Delta Species. Some of them are really cool and semi-gimmicky too, and can fit well into the current metagame. Did you know that, where Medicham (and its Mega) have Pure Power which doubles Attack, Delta Medicham (and its Mega) has Athenian, which doubles its Special Attack, and coupled with its stellar offensive typing in Ground/Fairy and good STAB moves like Earth Power and Dazzling Gleam, it could make for a very powerful Pokemon whether you’re using it as a playthrough Pokemon or a competitive one, it can serve both roles nicely. There’s so many other cool Deltas I’d tell you about, but the rest is for you to discover on your own.

Tl;dr: Insurgence is cool, so is Mega Delta Medicham, have fun.

Delta 'mons: Yah, I’ve caught a few. It’s just that I’ve no plan to fit any into the team yet (which comprises of, atm, Nidorino (keeping him around for T-spiking), Straraptor, Azumarill, special Vibrava, special Lucario, and Gardevoir). And honestly, I actually see that Delta 'mons is basically PI’s answer to Alolan Formes the mainline has :stuck_out_tongue:

Ground/Fairy: Am I alone in having fun out of designing a faux E4 where all its members specialise in two types with wide neutral coverage and have Ground/Fairy represented somewhere?

Actually fun fact: according to Junichi Masuda (one of the main directors of Pokemon), the idea of Alolan Formes came from fans. And the only fangames that have Deltas are Insurgence and Zeta/Omicron which were made by pretty much the same team. And while the original idea of Deltas came from the TCG, it was expanded upon a lot by Suze and the other devs. Plus this game (and the very first Deltas) were out before Sun and Moon revealed Alolan Formes, so yeah.

… holy shrikes, I forgot to factor that Insurgence’s earlier patches predates Gen VII :no_mouth:

Must’ve been because I’m only into Insurgence after SM came out, haha :upside_down_face:
