For the randomizer does the area have an unlimited amount of encounters or is it a set amount of encounters like if you randomize a pokemon rom and the number of pokemon in the area are the same but just changed to random pokemon?
If you’re asking if you can basically find as many random pokemon as you want in one area, yes. You can find every pokemon in one area without a limit. I do not understand by “number of pokemon in the area”, unless you mean static map encounters. They will be randomized if I recall correctly.

It is just completely random.
Completely random and unlimited unless its in areas with set encounters like tesseract encounters, hidden grottos(reset every 12 hours of real time), in-game NPC trades etc.
