How to transfer Pokemon between save files?

Just like with Pokemon Bank nowadays. Sorry if this is a noob question

The only way to do so is to have an intermediary hold the Pokemon while you switch to another save file and receive the Pokemon there.

Is that still in the game? I can’t find anything about where that is or how to do it

By intermediary, they mean another player to act as a middle man between you and yourself. You cannot trade to the same IP.
