How do I play this game with a Controller on Mac

Hey, playing this game on Mac, and I wanted to know how to play the game on a controller. Never been a fan of keyboard controls except in shooters, so I’d really appreciate if someone would explain this to me.

I don’t think gamepad controls are implemented. Try using a third-party application, like Xpadder or Joy2Key.

Doesn’t seem to work with Mac. Joy2Key specifically lists it requires Windows, and I read somewhere that Xpadder is the same.
