If you’re talking about the Zygarde in the Origin Cave, you can’t get it unless you killed the Zygarde at the dragon ruins. If you’re looking for something else, there are recent videos on Youtube as well as a guide on the Wiki.

does it spread to other pc mons or just party mons?

You have to put it adjacent to a party pokemon then engage in a battle. Put the Pokerus mon in the box to keep it from going away.
