How can I tell if 1.2.5 was correctly installed?

I downloaded the new core and started the game from the new files but when I started a new game it still said the version was 1.2 and when I checked the map on an old same I couldn’t find any differences. Any ideas what the problem could be?

If you look at your Trainer Card and it does not say 1.2.5 next to your play time, then you’ve done something wrong.

Thanks! It said 1.2.5 so I guess I was worrying over nothing, but glad for the assistance regardless!
