So I wanted to use a Greninja with protean as it’s ability, which is its hidden one. I’ve soft reset 31 Froakie encounters and haven’t found a single on with its hidden ability. Can Pokemon spawn with their hidden abilities in grottos?
I don’t think so. I believe they put all of the hidden abilities into the Friend Safari.
The way to get a hidden ability is through Dream Mist, but you must have access to Gaea Town
Friend safaris have a 20% chance of giving mons their hidden ability, if they have one. Pokemon that are not found in the friend safari can be given dream mists at the dream guru to give them their HA.
