Help running the game on Mac

I’m having some trouble running the game on my Mac. I run 10.14.6, so I should be able to, right? I completed the first step, at which point I rebooted and opened the command in terminal, but it just says “Process Completed” and won’t allow me to do anything or run the game. I’m not familiar with this type of thing, so I’d really appreciate If someone would point me in the right direction.

I don’t know have a Mac so I can’t rlly help u With specifics but I do know a few things.
First, yes I believe 10.14 can run Insurgence.
Second, you will need wine/wineskin/whatever it’s called to run it.

Supplemental info I stole from discord:
Mac Installation Help (MacOS < 10.15 (Catalina))

  • Open Terminal
  • Input curl -S "https://gitlab.com/levi506/installing-insurgnece/raw/master/assets/macOS/install.sh" | bash
  • Standby to input password when asked (Will not show due to security issues but it is being input)
  • Restart after installation
  • Open Terminal
  • Input cd ~/pkmn_insurg/ then ./Run-Pokémon-Insurgence.command or Use Desktop Shortcut

If running failed try right click and using wine stable to run the game
Location: ~/pkmn_insurg/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Pokemon Insurgence 1.2.5 Core/Game.exe

If the game is not in the directory download the windows version and extract it to that location

If wine is still failing run the following two commands in terminal
1. curl -S "https://gitlab.com/levi506/installing-insurgnece/raw/master/assets/macOS/cleanReqs.sh" | bash
2. curl -S "https://gitlab.com/levi506/installing-insurgnece/raw/master/assets/macOS/install-wine.sh" | bash

Save File Location: ~/pkmn_insurg/drive_c/users/[username]/Saved Games/Pokemon Insurgence

Easiest method for running insurgence/other windows hacks:

  1. Download winebottler from (http://bottler.kronenberg.org)
  2. Download the 1.2.5 core
  3. Open winebottler (You should see the little wine glass to the left of the date/time on the top right)
  4. Double-click the Game.exe file
  5. Keep clicking next until it says install, and click install
    Now you can access it by double-clicking the Game.exe file with winebottler open

Save files:

  1. Click on the little wine glass in the top right (with winebottler open, of course)
  2. Go to file manager
  3. Go to users - (your user) - saved games - Pokemon Insurgence
    Now you can access save files.
    Hope this helps as well
    You can use this strategy with other ROM hacks like pokemon Uranium as long as you have the .exe file.
