Having trouble transferring my save file

I have transferred my save files before on the same computer, when downloading the latest update for the game. I usually download the update as a core, and then transfer my save files from the last update to the newest one.

I have been trying to transfer my save files from my laptop to my PC, both running Windows. The laptop runs an old version, Windows Vista I think, and the PC runs Windows 10.

After transferring the .rxdata files from the old to the new, they aren’t showing up when I boot the game. It simply shows the start menu with “new game” and when searching the save files, there aren’t any saved games.

I have searched the FAQ and other posts, and have not been able to find one with my specific problem, just posts informing how to find the save files in the first place or discussing error messages. Is this an issue with Windows 10, or am I perhaps transferring them the wrong way?

If someone has had this same problem, or can suggest what’s happening, I would really appreciate it.

Are you sure you are following this for the save files?
C:\Users(your name)\Saved Games\Pokemon Insurgence

Also, note that while you are on windows you don’t have to mess around with the save files since they wont change when you download a new core or patch, as for the folder is separate. Transferring save files only applies to mac users.

I didn’t know that, I only transferred save files then because I wasn’t sure how to incorporate a patch, so I was re-downloading the entire game.

Yes, that’s the file path that I followed for the save files. I tried it several times and it hasn’t worked any of the times…

See if this works:

  1. take your save file to a folder in your desktop
  2. delete the insurgence save folder in that path
  3. start a new game and save once
  4. check the file path for the save file and see if there is a new save file path
  5. if there is, copy your save file from before to the newly formed folder path, if not then there is something wrong with your pc storing save files.
