Deadalive because it was dead and came back to life again
Ok, after 7 resets, I caught this in Mission 2.
Sure Deadalive then.
Ok, this is my team heading into Orion’s fight. And yes, Scorpia has no item bc Acrobatics. Do you think we can win?
He leads with a Houndoom (forgot to screen shot), which Scorpia promptly annihilates with an EQ. He then sends out a Tepig.
Also outsped and destroyed with EQ.
I swapped into Sandjaw to destroy his Dodrio, except it was a Delta
He lands a crit psycho cut, and gets hit hard by a Crunch. I Super Potion Sandjaw for another Crunch.
He swapped into D. Cofagrigus.
I go for an EQ, as he uses Iron Defense and EQ fails due to an Air Balloon. I pop his balloon with a Crunch, while he uses Whirlwind to bring out Mudbug.
I Mud Shot him, but he lives on a sliver, Whirlwinding Tectonic in.
I Incinerate twice, as he uses a Super Potion, then switches to Dodrio.
His Psybeam hits me hard, as I land a Pursuit for no damage.
He Potions, as I switch into Scorpia.
He lands a Psycho Cut for about 1/2 my health, but a Knock Off finishes him.
I again switch to Sandjaw to deal with Vullaby. His Feint Attack does about 1/3 of my health and my Rock Slide does half his, activating his Weak Armor.
We repeat the process for the KO, but Cofagrigus KOs Sandjaw with a Mirror Shot. So close, but time for a reset.
Ok, gonna go for Round 2. Wish me luck!
Orion leads with a Gurdurr, who is almost KOd by Acrobatics, and lands a Chip Away.
He uses a Super Potion and is KOd. His next mon is an Excadrill. Scorpia stays in for the EQ, while Excadrill outspeeds and uses Hone Claws.
He uses a Potion, allowing me to finish Excadrill with another EQ.
His next mon is a Roggenrola, so I decide to stay in.
I again click EQ, but yet again it has an Air Balloon and uses Iron Defense. Sound familiar?
Answer
This was Orion’s exact play with D. Cofagrigus.
This time, I attempt a Knock Off. He switches into big brother Gigalith.
I attempt EQ after knocking off his Leftovers. It does half his HP, but he uses Iron Defense. I decide to switch to Mudbug, cuz I am getting worried. He uses Power Gem, which does nothing to Mudbug.
At this point, Orion is starting to look like a more Rock heavy Bruno.
I fire off a Water Pulse, KOing the Gigalith. Mudbug gives Roggenrola the same treatment, but it lives on 1 HP, only to use Iron Defense. I finish it with a disrespect Mud Slap. I replace EQ with Rain Dance.
His last mon is a Dunsparce, so I switch to Pinstagram.
It fires off an Ancient Power, but it lives Pinstagram’s Revenge with a sliver.
Pinstagram ends the battle with a Seismic Toss, winning us our first badge.
Tectonic nearly evolved, but I barely stopped it. Orion gives us the TM for Return, which is nice cuz we got Ally Switch in Midna Town form the Tourney. Onto Route 3!
I got Toxic from the TM in Suntouched Exitway. And because my sister dared me to, I will be going to the next PokeMall, aka Xavier’s gym, with a shaved head. Look at that beautiful, shiny, bald head!
that gleam tho…
Where does it come from? I’m in a cave, there’s no light from that direction…? Or is there?
I caught a D. Buneary with Frisk, to item farm. Not for use in battles, tho I can use it for Frisking items then immediately switch. Pumpkaboo would be better, but oh well.
First encounter Route 2!
Now I have all three Dwebbles, tho I prob won’t use the grass one, the others have potential.
Nicks?
Hello little sister. Die annoying sister!
Second Encounter:
Nicks?
Nora time! She led with Weavile, which was bad cuz I led with Scorpia…
This is where a Hone Claws and an Acrobatics left us.
She Hyper Potions, and I used Acrobatics again. She decides Hone Claws is the best choice and uses another one while I finish her Weavile. Her next mon is a Walrein, so I swap to Pinstagram. What is up with all these Ice types?
I break bricks while he Aurora Beams. This isn’t looking good.
I try for a Seismic Toss, but she switches to D. Lanturn.
I stay in and nearly KO with an EQ, but it lands a Night Shade.
shes glacia in disguise
I attempt to finish it with another EQ, but she swaps into Walrein.
I Brick Break it for the KO. She sends out Venipede, so I send out Sandjaw. Unsurprisingly, it was a Delta. Somehow, I knew that was coming. I considered sending my D. Venipede, but I thought it was level higher and might KO me. (It was a level lower.) A sleeping bull destroyed it.
Next is Torkoal, so into Mudbug. I set a Rain Dance, cuz I can and he Body Slams me.
A Water Pulse nearly KOs, but I get KOd by a Body Slam. Retry time.
This time, she leads with a D. Lopunny.
It Heart Stamps for a flinch, and then hits a weak Mach Punch before nearly dying to an Acrobatics.
She uses a Hyper Potion, while I attempt to Knock off her Eviolite.
She Mach Punches again, but I KO her with another Acrobatics.
Why is her next mon a Kyogre? Oh well, Mudbug, it’s up to you.
One Body slam + Crit Mudbomb later…
No way we’re winning this. I swap to Tochukaso for higher defense.
Luck rn.
Of course I get paralyzed the next turn…
First Potion of the run.
I finally manage to land a Spore+FuryCutter.
I get paralyzed again, so I decide to heal again.
Kyogre is about to wake up, I cheat and look at it’s moveset. I think it has only Body Slam, but I’ma check. (Scary Face, Body Slam, Water Pulse, Muddy Water) There goes my plan of swapping to Tectonic. I guess I’ma use Toxic and heal, getting in Returns when I can.
And of course, right as Kyogre’s about to faint, she withdraws it for Flareon.
I swap to Tectonic as she uses Fire Fang.
I use the obvious Rock Blast, as she outspeeds and crits Bite. I’ma retry yet again.
(tho not rn.)
I’m back for Round 3. Nora leads with this:
How is that fair? Oh well, it’s her pixie legendary.
I use Knock Off twice, the first blocked by a Protect. The second time, she used Imprison.
I use Knock Off again, but she rests.
2 Knock Offs later, she swaps to Trubbish who loses its Eviolite.
I misclick Knock Off, and she stockpiles 1.
An EQ quickly KOes it tho. Her next mon is Minun, so I stay in.
Unfortunately, it’s delta, so I swap to Tectonic. It lands an Aurora Beam for a ton of damage. I think I want to replace Tectonic and Mudbug soon, they are too frail and lacking in damage output.
Another AB and 5 hits of Rock Blast later:
I have to Super Potion. She uses a Hyper Potion.
She tickles me as I Flame Wheel:
I Toxic, but she swaps to Mesprit. I swap to Sandjaw as she Imprisons.
She rests and I crunch.
2 Crunches later, she faints. Finally!
Her next mon is Growlithe, so I stay in. Sadly, it’s delta. I EQ, while it Metal Claws.
She uses Take Down as I use Bulldoze for the finish. But man, did that Take Down do damage!
She swaps back to Minun, so back to Tectonic. An Aurora Beam and a Flame Wheel later:
She almost takes us out, but we return the favor.
I swap to Pinstagram, as she uses Aurora Beam.
I outspeed and KO with Brick Break. Another one down!
She sends in Dwebble, so I stay in. An EQ and Stealth Rock later:
Seismic Toss deals more damage, due to Dwebble’s high defenses, but it uses Rock Polish.
She uses Smack Down, but another ST ends it. I stay in to defeat her Porygon 2.
A Brick Break and a Psybeam later:
I end it with another Brick Break.
FINALLY! We beat Nora!
What the heck? Well, I’m not complaining.
I got one too
