Elite Four Teams

Hi guys! I’m still far from beating the E4. But I want to prepare for it, can I see the team you used to beat the E4? Thank you!

First of all, hi! Welcome to the Forum. I’m PeterHolmes74 (not my actual name), I am mostly a competitive team builder and most people here know me as the team guy.

First of all, are you in easy, normal or hard mode?

I made a semi-competitive delta team the last time I challenged E4 to win the red pokemon
This was my team last time:
Delta Blaziken (Gale wings)
Delta Scizor (Tough claws)
Delta Metagross (Rock Head)
Delta Volcarona (Levitate)
Delta Ambipom (Technician) MVP
Delta typhlosion (Lightning Rod)
I was thinking of replacing delta metagross with delta greninja, delta scizor with delta serperior and delta volcarona with delta Hydreigon just because those deltas became my favorites the rest of the story
Most of these deltas are obtained after beating the E4 but I could breed any of them if you need them

The options available are honestly extremely large. I always recommend using a Taunt user against Kyla, the Baton Pass specialist. I had very high success with Taunt + Dragon Dance Moxie Gyarados with the grass type Custom Move.

Using a full Delta Team is so cool.

Is there a specific Pokémon or strategy you would like in your Elite 4 team? Example, using a Sandstorm team with Excadrill, a Trick Room with Mega Marowak or anything like that?

not really im just generally curious on what pokemon people use to beat E4

As stated previously, Gyarados is a very interesting Sweeper, transforming the Elite 3 into the Elite 3,5. With this given set, it turns Kyla into an absolute joke.

Gyarados @ Life Orb / Miracle Seed
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
-Aqua Tail
-Custom Move [Grass]
-Taunt
-Dragon Dance

Lead this Pokémon agaist Kyla. Turn 1: use Taunt. Turn 2: use Dragon Dance. Turn 3: sweep and win. Moxie boost will make sure the Custom Move will K.O. Mega Slowbro. After a Dragon Dance, Gyarados is just outside the range Blaziken can reach after one speed boost.

Against Eduard, it can work the same way. However, it’s Rotom-W is quite annoying. You can still prevent Hippodown to place its Stealth Rock, but I don’t know if you really OHKO Rotom at +1 with the Custom Move. Aegislash can also be problematic as you have only contact moves.
For more info on Gyarados as a whole during the adventure, look at this.

Other very good Pokémon include Delta Scyther or Choice Scarf Delta Gardevoir. Mega Kangaskan is an absolute BEAST and can arguably allow you to forgo Taunt in your Team, given it can also destroy Kyla by itself. I also had a lot of success with Bulky SD Scizor.
