Does easy effect any of the story?

I was wondering, if you set it to easy (not going to but out of interest) will it majorly effect anything? For example like pokemon you can catch postgame, and can you do the elite four on easy without it effecting anything? (If you can do it on easy)

Difficulty does nothing but change major battles and set a level cap on Hard.

That’s just battling. His noivern has absolutely nothing to do with the story.

I believe that Jaern never has a Mega Rayquaza and just has a normal one.

Easy mode also makes it so you don’t have a set battle mode in E4

it lowers the lvl cap on the elite four they can have lvl 80 on easy
