Delta Torkoal

This is my first delta pokemon, and it probably won’t get submitted. This Torkoal is a poison dragon type.
I think a cool ability would be poison heal, or poison touch, or a new ability, purple smoke (see urban dictionary for reference), that has a 15% chance of confusing a pokemon that made contact with it. The gold in its shell is from that myth that dragons would always guard treasure. Also, I might add some horns on its head, or give it an open mouth/ open eyes later. Tell me what you think.

Also, here’s a version with poisonous liquid instead of smoke (Not finished yet).

It’s been posted that recolors wont be accepted.

Humm nothing of a change here other than the tail, try making the shell different, like being spiky or something. And maybe a different smoke form.

What type of smoke form would you recommend?

Hummm something that feels sinister.

I’d reccomend changing the smoke to somethin lighter to represent the poison element. Perhaps replace the smoke alltogether with something like sludge or slime.

Overall it is a bit busy.

How would you recommend doing something like that? If I were to do that, I would only replace the bottom parts of the smoke, and make it seem as if it was riding on sludge.

Sludge might actually works as a replacement for smoke in general.

Also, the smoke on top you reformed looks kinda weird. The spikes are small, you might want them similar to >Spiny<

Um, sludge doesn’t really float in the air, so I’d have to take all of the upper smoke away if I wanted to do that. Unless you thought there should be sludge dripping from the holes in the shell. Also, I tried making the spikes like spiny’s, but they just make the sprite look really over-crowded, and it kinda goes against the sinister design to have big fat spikes. Just my opinion though. If you can make the spikes look good, then maybe I’m doing something wrong. I did try putting in the spikes from spiny, though they were a lot smaller, and I don’t know how make them look good and big at the same time. Here’s the image:

Well yeah, you’d have to remove the gas and make sludge drip on the floor; but honestly; unless you really WANT the smoke, not doing it because it would require effort speaks lazily on your part, non offense.

Not that I wouldn’t want to do it, or that I really want the smoke, but it’s my first delta ever, and I don’t really know how to reform Torkoal’s shell without the smoke, to make the poison drip to the ground. Unless you think I should make the sludge a solid, and travel from Torkoal’s feet to his shell. Also, I get that it may seem lazy on my part, but it’s also really hypocritical on your part, since you didn’t proofread your comment. No offence.

Yeah, I already started. I got all of the smoke removed, now I just need to all dripping slime. Should I make slime run from the hole on top of the shell , and the sides of the shell?

So um, which design is better? The one with the smoke or the sludge?

Honestly be neat if they were both correct and this delta had a different form depending on which it proxys

Yeah, like if the sludge one was found around marsh areas and the poison gas one was found in caves/natural gas pockets.

It could be quite interesting if you gave it 3 heads. Though, that would be copying Hydreigon a bit. Also on the heads why not add horns like Charizard has? Perhaps it could have multiple tails to add more to it, and you could give it little dragon wings, perhaps like the wings that Spyro has? Otherwise it’s looking really great, the colour scheme is really nice. I’d go with the sludge in an attempt to get away from the recolour zone too.
