I like the concept but I think it could use some improvements. First, The edited parts like the beard and the collar could use some outline. Without the outline on the beard it looks kind of out of place. For the collar, the spots blend in too much for them to be well defined. Second, they look too much like a plain recolor to be considered a delta. Maybe try to come up with some concepts to make the idea stand out a little more while making it more diverse. Hope this helps!
Its nice as it is, but I think some partialy cooled waves of lava coming down the sides of the pokemon would make it a little more interesting.
