Delta Shuckle (v2)

Hi everyone!

I really love the concept of Delta Pokemon as a whole and thought I’d try my hand at spriting one. Since Shuckle is a tough and persistent Pokemon that’s really hard to get rid off, I decided to make a “computer virus” themed Delta Shuckle based on the worm virus; the type would likely be either Steel/Electric or Steel/Psychic.

As a result of a PC storage gone wrong, this Shuckle has turned into a data virus, converting the computer to a new cozy home.

At the moment, my main concern is that I’m not sure if I should give the “screen” lighting, and if I should, I don’t know how I would adjust it in regards to the Shuckle’s “head” on the screen. I’m also somewhat iffy on the lighting of the bottom base as well and adjusting the outlines.

If you guys could give me tips or suggestions to improve this, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks for reading

EDIT: Updated to version 2. Old versions will be below for posterity.

This is pretty good concept, but you should have constant size of the pixels in it.

Something like this -> or this -> , but not combining different size pixels like this -> .

I would also recommend adding Shuckle's tentacle/legs somehow coming out of the computer.

cables?

Took a look at normal Shuckle’s sprite, I see what you’re talking about. I think I’ll have to redraw the computer sprite, though using entirely 2x2 pixels means I can’t use the line tool to draw diagonals. (Though looking at tutorials seems to imply I should draw pixel by pixel, so I’ll probably start doing that instead)

@ skaterflips - Cable tentacles sounds good, I will try to put them on once I’ve made a second sprite.

Alright, I’ve updated the sprite to the following:

How does it look now?
