Request: I just want help getting a metal coat and trading my Scyther to evolve it into a Scizor. If you don’t have a Metal coat I am sure I could find one in a short time. In fact, I will get started now!

Are you positive you want to evolve it? D. Scyther is actually a much better form for it as it will be able to outspeed opposing pokemon and has a lot of weaknesses as an ice/fighting. Evolving to D. Scizor will reduce its speed.
if you really want, you could go to the helios department store and buy a metal coat, then go to the black market and an old lady will evolve your scythe for you, if its holding the metal coat. This will be useless if you aren’t in helios city yet.

Thanks for helping me not make a mistake. I was kinda on the fence. I really like Scyther more and hoped I would like the new one but my eyes have been opened.
This is really good info. Guess I should have read up more haha. I also kinda just wanted to try a trade with someone too. But I can wait until I find something good.
If you go on Discord and make an account you can just ask for someone to help with a trade on there. And yeah, regular Scyther --> Scizor becomes steel/bug, but D. Scyther stays ice/fighting so the speed on D. Scyther is much better to keep
