Customized Trainer Card!

Hello fellow PokeMasters… or should I say… Insurgents! :smiling_imp:
Pranks (that’s not my real name but just call me that) here with my first post here!

Just a few days ago, I stumbled across Insurgence but couldn’t play it too much cause I was busy (I still am busy. My exams are on)

So despite me starting the game roundabout 15 days ago, I’ve still beaten just 1 gym & I’m just lazying around, getting cooler pokemon from Friend Safaris & stuff. Just biding my time until the exams end.

But then I thought - Hey, now I have some time to atleast make a good Graphic for that (I’m some wanna Graphic Designer of sorts)

So, after hours & hours of working on it & scrapping nearly 4 or so designs, I finally made my own highly customized Trainer Card!

Well, these are the original dimensions of the card. I know, the quality sucks big time.

But worry not, cause I made another high res copy of the same thing :smiley:

It was kinda hard to include so many things but managed that somehow :sweat_smile:
Feel free to ask about a particular element if you don’t know what that is.
For example - the vertical bar at the right is for indicating the Challenge mode. Whichever challenge is undertaken will be lit up, which, in this case, is none. xD
(Btw, prankster20 is my Friend Safari username in Insurgence. Feel free to exploit it for some Spritzee/Swirlix)

Now, I’d be LYING if I say it was completely my own idea. And I’m not a liar/stealer.

Yes, I did use this PokeCharms Trainer Card template for reference. Just reference. All the sprites used belong to Nintendo/ GameFreak/ Pokemon Insurgence. And everything else is pretty much my own input :slight_smile: like the “progress bar” for badges at the bottom :slight_smile:

So, what do you think of this? Cool? Uncool? Let me know your thoughts! And… This is my first post so go easy on m- nah! Go on, rip me off! All feedback appreciated! :slight_smile:
Also, if anyone would like me to do one of these for them, do let me know, maybe we can discuss details of the card to be made in a 1 to 1 message :slight_smile:
(Although my exams are on right now, so making these is my last priority. I’ll be more active only on & after 8th June)

This Trainer’s Card looks great! I love the idea of having this information on the card, but as it won’t “work” in the game as it is suppossed to, I don’t feel like it is a good idea to make it too often. Every change in the game should update on its own, but it won’t. If this was implemented in the game and it works out, I would love to see it.

Yup, yup, I know. I didn’t make it considering the game at all. I just wanted to make something which the community would find useful. Like all information in one place - about the Challenge Modes, Game progress (badges), team, OT, Trading Name & Friend Safari.

Also, I really just liked PokeCharms’ style & I kinda wanted to try it with a few of my own tweaks! :slight_smile:

Well, my exams are going on… But I’ll try whenever I have time The exams are just once every 5-6 days so it’s not that frequent :slight_smile: Maybe you should message me or just reply here as to what your team is & how your character looks like & challenges and everything. I think it’s better to discuss this on a chat :sweat_smile:

Also, from 8th June (when my exams end), I’ll be free almost all the time so maybe I’ll convert this thread to a factory/request thread wherein I’ll make more of such cards for people :slight_smile: I really enjoy doing this and the response has been good too… so why not? :grin:

Update: I’ve been working a little more on the existing designs as well as thinking of new elements :slight_smile:

I beat the third gym yesterday so I decided to update this. Changed the ‘Trainer’s Card’ font. Also added Mew behind the Trainer Sprite (but I honestly don’t think it looks good)
Also figured out how to add Mega Evolutions.
I’m thinking of ways to somehow add Pokemon’s nickname, but I guess that’d be too much :sweat_smile:

I’m thinking of more themes for the card. Like this one is highly Sky-Cult based. (Background taken from the ‘Splash’ screen for Rayquaza from the Graphics folder) Also, I added the egg just to show how it looks in your team. The pokeballs in your team represent empty slot in your party. And, some light ups in the Challenge mode to show how that works.

Those are awesome! A job very well done. I can’t imagine the amount of work that goes into these. Especially because you need to edit them yourself all the time if you make any progress.
