I’m a former dev for Azurite. I don’t know how well-known the facts are, but Pokemon Azurite, which has a crossover with Insurgence, is and has been dead for a while. I am not looking to cancel any of the people involved (honestly, I’m not), but the truth is, there is plenty of blame to go around and people here deserve to know the truth.
If you haven’t paid any attention, I don’t blame you. It drained me something fierce, having to deal with the fallout of the crossover in question’s lead dev trying to cancel ME on her own Discord server, and as a result of me trying to get the info out there, I’ve been banned from not only the Azurite discord and kicked to the curb unceremoniously, but also on r/PokemonFangames.This is not something I’m proud of, and it’s all because I tried to reveal the project being dead and mismanaged.
But anyway, to put it as lightly as possible: if you are hoping to play the fangame where Crystal Delta Metagross and Taen make a cameo appearance in (Pokemon Azurite), you’re going to be sorely disappointed. That game is never coming out, as it was and is being “made” as a vanity project to glorify the lead dev. There is no game. There never WAS a game. What little we had when I was still staff earlier this year and before is extremely poor quality.
I see people still posting about it here, and I figured I’d put an end to this silliness of “Oh, the game Insurgence is crossover-ing with looks neat.” I’m sorry to burst so many bubbles, but it feels freeing to get this out there.
I apologize if this breaks rules, I don’t meant to do so. I just know this game has a crossover with Azurite as a fangame, and being a former dev for said fangame I can tell you there’s no game coming. But don’t take my word for it. Take the words of my fellow snubbed colleagues.
