Other things i have to say:
Mienshao is really underated.
Scizor is just awesome
Scrafty is pretty cool, especially with intimidate
Politoed is a solid rain setter.
Porygon 2’s shiny is nuts. Its also a good staller with recover+toxic

Kudos to all the mons in the pc, which i used for quite a while (besides noibat, gren and drampa, noibat got boxed cause he sucked, and the other 2 were for some gym leaders) , but didnt make it to the e4

Technically you can,but it’d be pretty hard as you would only have one mon until you reach celadon,where you can get the starter eggs.
