Collaborative Competitive Reports - M. Stunfisk

U mean delta lol, and use focus sash instead so it can get off at least one hone claws.

tats y we put eviolite?

Yeah, but it has bad defenses anyway and it wonā€™t survive UU with that set.

It needs focus sash to stay in UU hunni that set has NU written all over it.

why? you already have scyther/stunfisk to do damage to them with sludge bomb/icicle crash respectively. setup sweepers are a bigger threat than grass types which arenā€™t even common besides like tangrowth

how? it can still live a hit, and while focus sash may be better itā€™s bulk is still at the very least passable

wait web+rain :open_mouth:

peter write paragraph
he is not kidding lmao

Mega Stunfisk is a good wallbreaker in OU. Ground/Electric typing is nice as it is a ground type that is bot checked my Skarmory. In fact, 91 base attack plus Athenian give it a monstrously high unboosted special attack of 1278 at level 120 (now imagine Mega Mawile). Electric typing giving it an edge over flying type who resist Earth Power, as discussed earlier, make it difficult to properly handle defensively without a sturdy specially defensive PokƩmon like Chansey. Coverage including Sludge Wave to bypass Grass types, Scald and Surf for Ground types and access to Magnet Rise, Stealth Rock and Volt Switch gives it a somewhat decent movepool. It also have access to Pain Split. Mega Stunkfisk is also very Bulky with a bulk of 109/104/134.

However, with its abysmal speed, it found itself outside by number of offensive foes and thus easy to revenge kill. The prevalence of offensive ground and water types like Garchomp, Landous-T, Keldeo and Rain abusers means he will struggle a lot against offense. As Mega Stunkfisk will almost always need to take a hit before attacking, under those supper effective attack, it will likely take around ~90% of damages on faster variants. As such, against offense, it need Livewire and/or Trick Room.

Here are some sets:

"Speedy" Wallbreaker

Stunfisk @ Stunfiskite
Ability: Static
EVs: 64 HP / 252 SpA / 192 Spe
Modest Nature
-Thunderbolt
-Earth Power
-Surf / Sludge Wave
-Volt-Swtich / Stealth Rock /Sludge Wave

Given spread allows Mega Stunkfisk to outspeed up to 158 Spe Choice Band Tyranitar, its most common variant. Bulkyer spread can also be used, be sure to check the speed tiers of other PokƩmon first. Sludge Wave allow it to pass some Bulky Grass types like Tangrowth. Surf, on the other hand, beats bulky ground types and some offensive ones on the switch.

Bulky Wallbreaker

Stunfisk @ Stunfiskite
Ability: Static
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
-Thunderbolt
-Earth Power
-Pain Split
-Stealth Rock/Scald

This set gives up on the need to outspeed things and go all out on the bulky side. Pain Split serves as its recovery move and can be quite nice at times. Stealth Rock is always nice for the team but Scald serves as good coverage or itself and can spread Burn. Volt Switch can also be and option to turn it into a bulky offensive pivot.

Alright. Why give m.stunfisk max speed investment if itā€™s base speed is 57? Its not going to outspeed anything. Instead give it max hp.
Now this one Iā€™m just confused. Why put Politoed? Itā€™s just increases its water weakness. The only thing itā€™s doing is making thunder never miss, which honestly isnā€™t worth.
Gliscors in the same boat as stunfisk. Its water weakness just becomes worse and thats it. It doesnā€™t benefit from rain at all.
Eviolite d.scyther is just silly. Itā€™s got the defenses and the typing of a snom(not literally but you know what I mean). Focus sash imo is better. Or instead give it choice scarf and you got yourself a a p.good revenge killer
Belly drum azu is fine, no probs here. Same with rtomwasg but they feelā€¦ out of place

Plus, Sludge Bomb is blocked by Bulletproof unlike Sludge Wave.

From what I can tell Iā€™m p sure there arenā€™t very many viable bulletproof Mons. No kommo means that the 30% chance to poison with SB is imo better than a bit more firepower

Sure thereā€™s chesnaught but I donā€™t think it has much ou usage, tho I havenā€™t played xy ou so I dunno

There is Chesnaught who is somewhat viable as a Spikes setter. It does have competition with Ferrothorn, but is still viable nonetheless.

But still, sludge bomb is better as it takes care of more stuff, and unlike kommo, chesnaught isnā€™t everywhere

peter can u revise this team?

Why sand veil + rain thatā€™s just dumb

I really wonder what were you thinking when you put both Swift Swim AND Trick Room in the same team. First of all, explain me this.
