Changing the Secret Base Trainers to 6 Pokemon

Grinding your pokemon can be a pain, so why not change the secret base trainers (EV Trainer and Level Trainer) such that they have 6 pokemon instead of 3. This could speed up the training process quite a bit.

Also, the EV trainer should also have pokemon that give more than 1 EV of any given stat. Given that you actually have to pay for it, she should at least give you 3 EVs per pokemon. Using her to train your HP EVs make no sense when the Level Trainer gives you twice the EVs, much more levels, and cash. (I know most of the EVs come from the power items, but still, it’s a quick fix)

These seem like quick changes that could be added in any patch. I’m not sure if anyone has suggested this before, but it still seems like a good idea to me.

See i’ve thought about this before however I actually reckon how it is is perfect. Because it shouldn’t just be giveaway levelling and training. Not only do you have to pay but you have to work, so I reckon it makes sense and I’m happy how it is personally.

I’m gonna guess the Secret Base will be upgradeable at some point in the story like it was in Zeta and Omicron. and I think the EV trainer should change her Pokemon once you do that.

About the level trainer, I don’t think it is necessery for him to have 6 Pokemon, he will probably just keep using 3 Audinos like in the main series, but the levels will increase after major checkpoints, like gyms. After all he doesn’t charge you anymore for the service after a while, you get free cash and you level up quite fast in my opinion.

It already is so many miles ahead of what we had in previous original titles that I see no need for making it easier. If it happens I won’t be mad, I just hope it comes as money sink: making this be an “upgrade” to the functions and also keeping the less costy options available. So basically you get what you pay for, 6 mons with 3 desired EVs each would be exponentially more expensive than the current 3 mons with 1 desired EV each.

It’s still overdoing it though, you can get the EV training hold items so easily.

What the hell are you talking about? Since when do you have to work to level up your pokemon in secret base? The Audinos literally kill themselves and you get paid more than you pay for the leveling after the free leveling.

have you ever tried EV training your mons using the EV trainer? its a grind. sure its easier than normal but its time consuming. Hence… its work.

have you tried EV training at the suggested friend safaries? you might even get a shiny while training.

This post is more about optimisation and quality of life than any complaint. I’m happy with what we have, but I just think there’s room to make it even better
