i want to change some pokemons battle and overworld sprites but when i do it using the graphics in the folder they have a big white square around the sprite what am i doing wrong
Are you sure you’re editing them as PNG files? Otherwise, they’ll have a white background.

Make the white stuff transparent and save it as a .png file. If you are using a crap program like paint, then download a better program that has a transparent tool and .png saving options.
