is breeding for competitive mons here as tedious as the original games? Like if you have to hatch 30 piplups to get one with 5 iv’s -atk
Breeding for IVs is mostly the same as in the main games, though IV stones make it easier to get a 5 or 6 IV ditto as well as in team building if you farm them. There’s some minor difference in move inheritance when compared to main games as well, males can pass down TMs/HMs in addition to gen 6 breeding mechanics.
