I don’t think it’s a held item, Reukra’s Mewtwo holds a Life Orb.

I tried the Witchdoctor just in case but that didn’t work
Reading into it Shadow Mewtwo was caused by Mewtwo being under the influence of the Shadow Synergy Stone. Best bet would be finding this
Someone in the Battle Frontier hinted that you can get into the cave at the Mysterious Spire after you finish the Pokedex, i feel like Shadow Mewtwo (or maybe just the shadow synergy stone) is in there

That is a massive pain in the butt for a new form for mewtwo…
My guess is shadow mewtwo is from the pyramid in the battle frontier
i found it randomly on route 1 in my randomizer didnt get to catch it tho’

Someone left a comment in one of my videos saying that maybe you get the item for Shadow Mewtwo by getting Suzerain rank at the challenge championship which would make sense. But since challenge championship is bugged I haven’t been able to test the theory. Whenever I have to fight Giovanni or Blue, I automatically get a defeat screen and my rank resets to novice. Also I get the feeling that the item we need to change mewtwo would be a key item like the gracadia.
I have started the story for my dark story, I’ll catch up sooner or later.
Also I found out it’s typing. Psychic / Dark. Ability is Intimidate. Probably a Shadow Synergy Stone.
Just caught Delta Pidgey without trouble.
