I only used trademons for my second run. It makes a noticeable difference. Sure, though it might be a more tedious version of this run, I think you should make some different rules to keep it interesting.

So I have more diverse teams at earlier points of the game

Honestly still shocked that I won. That was one of the most intense pokemon battles that I’ve ever had.

I was having hopes for midnight…wanted to see him shine. In the end, he did but, not in the way I expected.
Ok so the rules would be if I white out I reset to the last save, normal nuzlocke and after each gym and major battle I can give some boosts to my Pokémon. Normal nuzlocke but I get to choose my load out. Each Pokémon has three lives
He did a lot in this playthrough. The mon that got shafted the most was Arachnos. Had him for the least amount of time.

She did but she got ohko’d D. Volcarona and brought down S. Mewtwo to half hp. She’s the reason I won.

Yeah that is 100% true. He started to fall behind since his neutral nature means that no stat is incredible if he isn’t mega. Once I get some dream mist, he is gonna get Shadow Dance and become a bigger threat.
