I am honestly too afraid to fight Reukra.
I have gotten so far and I don’t want to lose so close to the finish line.
My second deltalocke ended in failure and I don’t want the same to happen this time.
Then save beforehand and reset when you lose

Not really unless you specifically chose that rule. Whiting out or blacking out and losing is typically an optional rule. It’s stated there in Bulbapedia
I count it as cheating
Allowing resetting for battles kills the stakes.
