Showdown is open-source, so we just need to modify the code to add in the new deltas/megas and modify existing gen 7 + 8 mons with Insurgence moves, and Deltas with moves from Gen 7 + 8.
There are going to be a couple of differed things, such as the level cap, but it is overall going to remain the same.

Frankly, I think I could make it.
But I don’t think we should add things from gen 7 and 8 because the game itself doesn’t have them. We should probably stick with the game’s features. That’s just my opinion though.

Of course, the option to omit the new stuff from your battles is there, don’t necessarily have to include it 
I run a draft league though, and everyone there would prefer the insurgence mons be updated to ‘modern’ standard, which is why I’m taking the direction I am. But, the base stuff will be there, just updated to include new stuff too.
