Why do you shiny hunt?

Why do you shiny hunt?
Is it to show off to your friends? (if you have any lmao)
Is it because you love pokemon?
Is it because you like this specific shiny?
Do you have nothing else to do? (you know who you are)
Do you just enjoy the rush of seeing something different?

Or is it something else that compels you to look for these different colored, fake animals?

I’d say it’s more of a self-satisfaction sort of thing. The sense of accomplishment after finding a desired shiny is almost reason enough to hunt for some people (myself included). Plus, there are a good number of freaking amazing looking shiny Pokemon (personal favorites include Aegislash, Greninja, Rayquaza, Metagross, and Milotic).

It is to prove that I can do anything that I want. It is like self-motivation when I think I cannot do anything. That is how I felt after getting my sandile*.

*I will never forgive myself for hunting it on citra.

Shiny hunting is wrong.
You shouldn’t judge someone just based on their skin color.
That is why I don’t shiny hunt.
But, in my copy of Sword, I did randomly find a shiny Morgrem.
And I enslaved it.

I mostly shiny hunt cause there are some specific shiny mons that are just AWESOME, also, I am sometimes shiny hunting smth specific to flex pft
